This did not turn out very well. I don't love painting and i'm not very good at it to begin with. it was fun painting but it didn't turn out great. I needed to add more value in basically everything and put more detail in the trees and whatever it is that i put in the front. Over all it was decent , it was good for me to use color and i had fun painting it.
Making the clay tile was a new experience because i had never really messed with clay like that before. It was a lot of fun making the clay tile. Coming up with an idea was still a bit hard but not quite as much as before. painting the clay tile was interesting because it circled around the same couple of colors. Using value was really important for this project.
These are pictures from the print making project we did. We had to draw an animal with texture so I chose a squirrel because they are awesome. After drawing the squirrel I had to use a view finder(cut out square in a piece of paper) to pick the best part of it. I then used tracing paper to transfer the drawing onto a piece of linoleum. I then cut out the drawing with special linoleum cutting tools. I had difficulty coming up with a good idea because I am about as creative as a movie director that redoes old slasher films like texas chainsaw massacre. Cutting out the linoleum wasn't that hard, it was actually probably the easiest part. I finally got down the whole tracing paper thing so thats fantastic. I need to work on paying attention to detail because on the prints could have definitely been more centered. But in general I think I did pretty well on the project.
These are pictures of the black and white cut out I made. It is pretty simple. The most difficult part was using the tracing paper because I still dont exactly understand it even though its a pretty simple concept. Getting the idea for what to draw was also pretty difficult. I have experience with exacto knifes so that part was pretty easy. It was fun making the cut out.
These are all drawings of my hand that I then turned into animals. It was kind of difficult coming up with ideas for animals that would work with my hand an be unique as well. I came up with a dragon and an octopus. For the final drawing I chose the octoous which is why its in color. It was fun creating the different positions for my hand to be in and slightly uncomfortable at times. I think the drawings came out pretty well.
This is a cartoon skeleton I drew. It was a new and different experience using tracing paper. It was kind of difficult actually using my imagination and using tracing paper because I found it kind of confusing to be honest. It was fun drawing imposibear for the bravest warriors series on youtube. It took a bit to actually get the idea down on paper but I think the end result was pretty good.
This is a picture of three shapes I drew with oil pastels. They we're some what difficult to draw just because color is mean to me but I was able ti make it work. This was my first time working with oil pastels and I found it fun and and interesting. It was definitely different to what im used to. But it was a good and fun learning experience.
These are a few 3-D shapes and a value shart I drew. The shapes were some what difficult to draw because using real value was new to me. the value chart shows the different shades used in drawing. it was fun to draw because I started out shading really softly but progressively got harder.
These are two of the hand drawings I did whole being able to look at the paper. I think they turned out pretty good. I took the entire amount of time we had to draw each one. It was definitely easier than not being able to look at the paper at all.
These are two of the hand drawings I did without looking at the paper. It was a very new and different experience for me because I had never drawn something without looking at the paper. It was fun drawing although I took basically the entire 2 minutes that we had to draw each time. Drawing my hand without being able to look at the paper was kind of hard but the end result was pretty interesting.
